Meet the teachers of CEU Retreat 2018!
Norina Murphy, MSW, LCSW
Co-Coordinator of CEU Retreat
Norina is a licensed clinical social worker and owner of Norina Murphy MSW, LCSW & Associates. She provides mental health care to adults, teens, and children at her group practice. Norina is also a Master's of Social Work field instructor for USC’s School of Social Work and a Field Liaison for the Master's of Social Work advanced year students at the School of Social Work for California State University, San Bernardino. Norina has a genuine passion for helping the client as much as she does her fellow colleague…hence why CEU Retreat was born. She is the co-organizer for this event.
Sarah Scheidler, BSW, RYT
Co-Coordinator of CEU Retreat
Sarah is a photographer, artist and registered yoga instructor. She owns Mystic Yoga Los Angeles, a place where she uses breath and body work to bring healing and wholeness. Sarah is also the co-organizer of CEU retreat. Through her own life journey and training her commitment to help all adults continue to “play” while learning provides for the perfect compliment to this retreat setting. Lastly, Sarah also owns Sarah Scheidler Photography….you will find her images are as beautiful as her soul.
Nakeya Fields, MSW, LCSW, PPSE, RPT
Nakeya is the Owner and Executive Director at Fields Family Counseling Services and the author of a new book, Mental Health Entrepreneur. She is a licensed clinical social worker, registered play therapist and registered yoga instructor who utilizes talk psychotherapy, play, art, music, mindfulness, yoga and movement therapy in her practice as a mental health provider. Nakeya’s energy will leave you wanting more.
Angela Barrios-Lucero, MA, LMFT, ATR
Angela is a licensed marriage and family therapist as well as a registered art therapist. She currently provides services to children, teens, adults, and couples at Norina Murphy, MSW, LCSW & Associates. Angela has extensively worked with trauma, child abuse, domestic violence and sexual exploitation/human trafficking. Her additional training includes A Window Between Worlds art program and Parent/Child Interaction Therapy. Angela is the kind of unique therapist that brings welcomed good vibes to any space you invite her in.
Ariel Macon-Richard, MSW, LCSW
Ariel is a licensed clinical social worker who serves as a clinical supervisor for the Val Verde Unified School District supervising staff within the school-based mental health program. Ariel developed the Master of Social Work internship and marriage and family therapist traineeship program, which serves hundreds of students throughout the district. She is a field liaison at California State University, San Bernardino for the Master's of Social Work program. Ariel is a believer and holder of space for mindfulness, a true gift.
Deborah Vinall MA, LMFT
Deborah is the Owner of Tamar Counseling Services. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist who specializes in helping women and children overcome trauma and the effects of painful relationship experiences. Deborah is an EMDR certified therapist, certified yoga instructor, and trained in hypnosis through California Southern University, where she is completing her Psychology Doctorate. Deborah is a passionate and extraordinary expert in all things she loves.
Maritza Nigro, MSW, LCSW, PPSC
Maritza is the owner of Maritza Nigro, LCSW, Inc. At her private practice, she provides individual, couples, and family therapy. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a credential in school-based mental health services allowing her to provide supervision for mental health providers in school settings. She also provides clinical treatment to students and couples at California State University, Los Angeles. Maritza consults with staff and faculty in k-12 school settings and college campuses. She is also an Academy of Cognitive Therapy Diplomate and certified in CBT. Maritza’s calm way makes anyone in her presence see why she is so good at what she does.
